My parents were not religious, but they did make me and my sisters say our prayers every night. I still do. Beautiful moving piece, Zach. <3

Thank you for sharing this painful yet heartwarming experience. I myself didn’t suffer a tragedy in my house, and my family is not religious at all, I never went to a mosque with neither of my parents or siblings. Yet, for me prayers are such an important part of my day, I even believe that the act of being mindful or grateful in itself is a kind of silent prayer that connects you to everything. Loved reading this piece too 😊🙏🏽 thanks Zack

I’m old. Old enough to remember The Whole Earth Catalog. One of the cover’s iterations was that photograph of Earth. Underneath the photo was the caption, “Evening. Thanks again.”

Hey Zach, this was beautiful, thank you. Last year I also shared some thoughts about prayer here, in case you're interested: https://meowchiavelli.substack.com/p/monday-motivation-pray-seriously

I'd love to catch up, I'll send an email. Hope all is well!
